The Simple View of Outcomes–Literacy outlines ten interconnected components essential for school-based literacy reform, divided into two primary domains:
- Knowledge Domain (Science of Reading): Each component operationalizes the Simple View of Reading’s two pillars (Word Reading x Language Comprehension). This domain emphasizes Assessment, Instruction, Intervention, Individual Differences, and Spoken and Written Language.
- Systems Domain (Implementation Science): Grounded in coherence and sustainability, this domain establishes the infrastructure for change through Leadership, Teacher Effectiveness, Data Use and Analysis, Shared Commitment, and Stages of Implementation.
